From the bustling streets of the capital to the peaceful mountain landscapes of the North, this trip is packed with culture, adventure, and unforgettable moments. Wander through ancient temples, explore lively night markets, soak in natural hot springs, and take in some of the most breathtaking scenery in Thailand.

Days 1 & 2: Bangkok Your adventure begins in Bangkok, where you’ll meet your group and enjoy a welcome dinner before exploring the lively street of Khao San Road. The next day, you’ll have time to soak in the city’s energy before boarding an overnight sleeper train - a true backpacker experience - heading North toward the mountains.

Days 3-6: Pai Upon arrival, we’ll transfer to Pai, a charming mountain town known for its laid-back vibe and stunning natural scenery. Over the next few days, you’ll explore Pai’s canyon, waterfalls, hot springs, and famous walking Street, with plenty of time to relax and soak in the atmosphere. You’ll also have the option to start your day with a yoga session in the fresh mountain air.

Days 6-9: Chiang Mai Next, we head to Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand’s cultural capital, where ancient temples and vibrant markets await. You’ll wander through the historic Old City, visit some of the region’s most iconic temples, and take a refreshing dip at the Sticky Waterfalls - a unique natural wonder where you can literally climb up the cascading rocks. One of the highlights of the trip is a visit to an ethical elephant sanctuary, where you’ll spend time learning about and interacting with these gentle giants. To wrap up your time in Chiang Mai, you’ll take part in a Thai cooking class, mastering authentic local dishes before heading home or onto your next adventure.

  • Shared rooms in highly rated hostels. The rooms will be shared between 2-8 travellers.

    One night will be spent on the very unique experience of an overnight sleeper train. This is an experience you can’t miss while in Thailand.

    The trains are typically comfortable and provide a restful journey. Please keep in mind this is a shared experience between other travellers. There are shared bathrooms at the end of the carriage.

  • We will send a full packing list closer to the trip, but think light, breathable clothing for the tropical weather, plus a few modest outfits for temple visits. Comfortable walking shoes, a swimsuit, and sunscreen are essentials.

    Don’t forget a small backpack for day trips and a reusable filtered water bottle to stay hydrated.

  • We recommend bringing a backpack or a carry-on sized suitcase, whatever you’re most comfortable traveling with! Keep in mind that you’ll be moving between destinations VIA public transport, so packing light will make things easier. A small day pack for daily essentials is also great to have while exploring.
