  • We’ll be staying in highly rated, social hostels known for their cleanliness, comfort, and great vibes! You’ll be in shared dorm rooms with 4-8 people, perfect for making friends and bonding with your group!

These aren’t your average hostels either: think sparkling pools, cozy common areas, and dreamy decor.

We’ve handpicked every stay to make sure you’re comfortable, safe, and in the heart of the action.

You will only share with others from the group.

  • The trip officially begins in Antigua and ends in Lake Atitlan.

You’ll fly into La Aurora International Airport (GUA) in Guatemala City and take a shuttle or taxi to Antigua. It usually takes 1-1.5 hours, depending on traffic. Airport transfers aren’t included, but we’ll send you a shuttle recommendation to make it super easy!

At the end of the trip, we’ll help you arrange a shuttle from Lake Atitlan back to the airport which takes about 3.5-4 hours.

We recommend arriving in Guatemala City no later than 3PM so that you can attend the welcome dinner.

We recommend booking your flight home no earlier than 4:00PM on the final day to give yourself enough time for the journey and airport check-in.

  • We recommend bringing a backpack or small carry-on sized suitcase rather than a big suitcase. You’ll be moving around a lot - including on ferries- so something lightweight and easy to carry is key.

A small daypack or tote bag is also useful for daily activities and excursions. Pack light - you won’t need as much as you think.

  • A $99 deposit is due to secure your spot. The rest can be split into monthly payments with the final payment due 90 days before the trip start date!

  • Visa requirements for Guatemala depend on your nationality. If you’re from the US, Canada, UK, most European countries, or Australia, you can enter visa-free for up to 90 days.

It’s your responsibility to check and arrange your visa prior to travel, and we recommend doing so well ahead of time. Make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your trip dates.

We know you’ll love your Wander Where adventure, but don’t just take our word for it:
