15 days. 1 trek. A lifetime at the Top of the World
The Everest Base Camp Trek isn’t just a hike, it’s one of the most legendary adventures on earth. Over two weeks, you’ll journey through the heart of the Himalayas, passing through vibrant Sherpa villages, crossing swaying suspension bridges, and gazing up at peaks that scrape the sky. Each day brings you closer to the foot of the world’s highest mountain, until the moment arrives where you stand at EBC itself, 5,364 meters above sea level. A true bucket list achievement. This journey will change the way you see the world (and yourself).
Why This Trip is Unforgettable:
Scenic Lukla Flight: Soar into the Himalayas on one of the most famous flights in the world.
Everest Base Camp: Stand at 5,364m at the foot of the world’s highest peak.
Kala Patthar Sunrise: Watch the sun rise over Everest and the Himalayas at 5,545m.
Local Culture & Food: Experience warm Sherpa culture and hospitality by staying in locally owned tea houses every night and visit the Tengboche Monastery.
Travel with Purpose: For every booking, we’ll plant a tree in Nepal. And as a group, we’ll do our part by bringing trash back down the trail after reaching Base Camp, leaving the Himalayas cleaner than we found them.
Bucket-list Achievement: Complete one of the world’s most legendary treks, with full support every step of the way.
Built-In Travel Bffs: Come solo or with a bestie - you’ll leave with a new circle of friends, inside jokes, and a shared camera roll full of memories.

This isn’t just a vacation, it’s an adventure. The Everest Base Camp trek is a bucket list journey, but it does come with challenges that make reaching Base Camp so rewarding.
Here’s what you can expect:
🏔️ Physical Challenge: We’ll be trekking for 10 days straight, averaging 4-7 hours of hiking per day on rocky, uneven trails. The altitude makes everything feel tougher, even if you’re fit! You don’t need to be a professional athlete, but you do need to be in good physical health, have a positive mindset, and be ready to take on long, challenging days in the mountains.
❄️ Cold Weather: At higher elevations, daytime temperatures can drop close to freezing, and nights can get as cold as 14F (-10C). Warm layers are a must! Luckily, Oct is one of the best months weather wise for the trek.
🛖 Basic but Cozy Lodging: We’ll be staying in teahouses (local guesthouses). They’re charming and welcoming, but simple. Think basic twin beds, limited electricity, and bathrooms that may be shared. Private bathrooms are only available in lower villages. Hot showers are available in some places for a small fee, but not guaranteed.
🌿 Simple Daily Life: Meals are hearty and yummy but basic. WiFi and charging may be available at times, but not everywhere. This is a chance to unplug and live simply.
💪🏽 Mental Stamina: The days are long and the altitude can be tough, but reaching Base Camp (and Kala Patthar for sunrise) makes everything worth it. The sense of accomplishment is unmatched.
If you’re looking for luxury, this isn’t the trip. But, if you’re craving a true adventure, breathtaking Mountain Views, cultural immersion, and a once in a lifetime sense of achievement, then this is 100% for you.

Kathmandu: 3 star hotel, twin share with modern amenities before and after the trek.
On Trek: we’ll be staying in cozy local teahouses. These are simple mountain lodges run by welcoming Sherpa families.
Rooms are basic but comfortable, two twin beds, blankets, and shared bathrooms. As we gain altitude, the accommodations get simpler. Hot showers and Wi-Fi become less common the higher we go, but that’s all part of the adventure.
In short: it’s not luxury, but it’s authentic, cozy, and filled with the kind of warmth that makes this trek unforgettable.

The trip starts and ends in Kathmandu (Tribhuvan International Airport)
Arrival: We strongly recommend arriving at least one full day before the trip starts (Oct 14). International flights can be delayed, and arriving early gives you time to reset, adjust, and pick up any last minute trekking gear in Kathmandu. Extra nights at our Kathmandu hotel can be arranged for you.
Departure: The trek ends back in Kathmandu on Oct 28, with final departure on Oct 29. However, flights to and from Lukla are highly weather-dependent and can be delayed or canceled. Because of this, we suggest adding 1-2 buffer days in Kathmandu after the trek before booking your international flight home. If all goes smoothly, you’ll have extra time to relax and explore Nepal! A win-win!
This schedule ensures you get the full experience without missing any activities.

When you arrive in Kathmandu, you’ll be given a duffle bag to use for the trek. Here’s how it works:
Duffel Bag (10kg limit): This is the bag that porters will carry for you on the trek. You’ll pack all your trekking clothes and gear into it before leaving Kathmandu.
Daypack (5kg limit): You’ll carry your own backpack (around 30-35L) each day with water, snacks, layers, camera, and personal essentials.
Extra Luggage: You can absolutely travel to Nepal with a suitcase. Any extra belongings you don’t need on the trek can be safely stored at the hotel in Kathmandu until you return.
We will of course share a full packing list in preparation for this adventure.

A $199 deposit is due to secure your spot. The rest can be split into monthly payments with the final payment due 90 days before the trip start date!

Yes, all travelers (except Indian nationals) need a tourist visa to enter Nepal. You can get this on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. It’s your responsibility to check visa requirements and what you need prior to travel, and we recommend doing so well ahead of time. Make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your trip dates.

Vaccination needs can vary depending on your nationality, medical history, and recent travel. We strongly advise consulting a doctor or a travel clinic at least 6-8 weeks before departure for personalized guidance.

The EBC trek is a challenging, high altitude adventure, but with the right preparation it’s achievable for most people with good fitness.
Here’s how to get ready:
Build your endurance: Aim for long hikes (5-6 hours) on hilly or uneven terrain, carrying a daypack with some weight.
Strength Training: Focus on legs (squats, lunges, step-ups), core, and overall stamina.
Cardio: running, cycling, swimming, or stair climbing will help train your body to perform with less oxygen.
Practice with your gear: break in your hiking boots and get comfortable carrying your backpack before the trip.
Altitude Mindset: no matter how fit you are, trekking at high elevations is tough. The key is pacing yourself, staying hydrated, and listening to your body.
We’ll also send you a detailed training guide once you’ve booked to help you feel confident and prepared.

Yes, proper acclimatization is key! That’s why our itinerary includes rest days at Namche (3,440m) and Dingboche (4,410m).
As prevention, our local guide will monitor your pulse and oxygen daily and recommend you food, techniques, and what to do/not to do for a successful trek.
Organic methods such as garlic soups, ginger lemon tea, hydration, and maintaining your diet should be used!

You’ll enjoy freshly cooked meals at cozy mountain teahouses along the trail. The menus are simple but hearty, with options like rice, noodles, soups, omelets, pancakes, and traditional Nepali dishes such as da bhat. We recommend sticking to vegetarian meals, as fresh meat isn’t easily available at higher altitudes. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all included during the trek and hot tea or coffee is always on hand to warm you up after a long day of trekking.
