The trip officially starts in Cancun and ends in Bacalar.
You’ll fly into Cancun International Airport and grab a taxi to our first accommodation in the hotel zone! We will provide you with a taxi phone number so you can pre-book your transport.
We’ll wrap things up in Bacalar, and from there, you’ll take an ADO bus back to Cancun Airport (around 5 hours) at the end of the trip. The buses run multiple times a day. They’re affordable, comfortable, and reliable!
We recommend booking your flight home no earlier than 5:00PM on departure day to allow plenty of time for the bus ride and check in at the airport.

We recommend bringing a backpack or small carry-on sized suitcase rather than a big suitcase. You’ll be moving around a lot - including on ferries- so something lightweight and easy to carry is key.
A small daypack or tote bag is also useful for daily activities and excursions. Pack light - you won’t need as much as you think.
-
A $99 deposit is due to secure your spot. The rest can be split into monthly payments with the final payment due 90 days before the trip start date!

Visa requirements for Mexico depend on your nationality. If you’re from the US, Canada, UK, most European countries, or Australia, you can enter visa-free for up to 180 days.
It’s your responsibility to check and arrange your visa prior to travel, and we recommend doing so well ahead of time. Make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your trip dates.
